The amount of concrete used in the construction of the dam was enough to build a paved road from New York to San Francisco. The total cost of the dam was $49 million which is equal to $700 million today. The dam still today provides the electricity to Arizona, Nevada, and Southern California. It is also the major tourist attraction in the US allowing people to do boating, swimming, and fishing in the Lake mead. Hoover dam bridge completed in 2010 is the highest concrete-arch bridge in the world.

The monument was completed in October 31, 1941. The monument includes the sculptures of the 4 great presidents (George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln) of the USA. One of the amazing facts about the Mount Rushmore is that it went through design changes 9 times. Mount Rushmore attracts nearly 3 million tourist every year.
